The advantage of this system is that the DI water yield is up to 30% higher.
After some time, the first bottle no longer achieves the desired conductivity. However, further quantities could be desalinated if the limit was set higher. Assume the tap water has 1000 µS. Then the first bottles are desalinated from 1000 µS to 50 µS. This means that the second bottle has an enormous relief and therefore a much higher yield, since the inlet of the second bottle does not have 1000 µS, but only 50 µS. Only the first bottle is then filled with new resin and reconnected in the second place. Of course, both bottles can be filled with new resin at the same time. Thanks to the specially designed aluminum frame, which is open on both sides, removing the bottles is particularly convenient.
DI water yield
The performance of demineralized water depends on a few factors:
What is relevant is the amount of mixed bed resin that is included in your desired system. All size information such as: B. 2 x 20 or 1 x 60 refer to the capacity of mixed bed resin. Are they e.g. B. 2 x 20, the system contains 40 liters of mixed bed resin.
The quality of the feed water significantly influences the yield. A very soft water, which perhaps only has 5° GH, naturally puts far less strain on the mixed bed resin than city water with 35° GH. There is a simple formula for this that can always be used, with a few exceptions. 1 liter of mixed bed resin x 1500 (factor): local hardness in °GH = liter of water until the mixed bed resin is exhausted. So 40 liters of mixed bed resin x 1500: 10°GH = 6000 liters of demineralized water.
The limit value of demineralized water from which it can no longer be used. Heating water has a limit of 100 µS/cm. Battery water, on the other hand, has a limit of 10µS/cm. Since the mixed bed resin is of course not exhausted suddenly, but rather explosively, e.g. B. the heating water produces more demineralized water. Applications with limits of 2µS/cm must discard the mixed bed resin much earlier.
VE station function
The system is connected to a city tap or other screw connection using pressure hoses.
Incoming water is pre-filtered in the stainless steel filter and passes through the blue pressure bottles and is thus freed of limescale and salts.
The demineralized water then enters the two-stage particle filter station, where solids such as sand, rust and all undissolved particles are removed to 1/1000 mm. Activated carbon filters and particle filters are used here. These can be replaced by others at any time.
This is followed by measuring the water quality with the built-in conductivity meter. This can be controlled thanks to the built-in blending device. At the end, disinfection takes place using UV-C.
