Seemingly unused Buchi K-350 distillation apparatus for Kjeldahl, Devarda, alcohol, SO2, etc.
The K-350 distillation apparatus is used for nitrogen determination according to Kjeldahl (TKN - Total Kjeldahl
Nitrogen) and Devarda. Other steam distillations can also be carried out (e.g. distillation
of alcohol, SO2, volatile acids).
This device is particularly suitable for determining alcohol in mash, liqueurs, etc. Simply measure the sample, pour it in, set the distillation time and press start.
That's all there is to it. Determining the alcohol content in liqueurs, for example, takes approx. 5-7 minutes, depending on the sample quantity used.
