Single sample freezing point osmometer, especially for routine measurements in the pharmaceutical and medical sectors.
The Osmomat 3000 Basic determines the total osmolality in aqueous solutions and requires very small sample volumes for this. The device is characterized by a robust design and is therefore, like the Osmomat 3000, suitable for extreme measuring tasks. The Osmomat 3000 Basic has a step-by-step user guide for all measuring functions and is therefore easy and convenient to use. It has a simple calibration routine with two or three-point calibration. The documentation of the measured values is carried out by the user with this device; the device does not have a printer or data output.
Applications
Routine and research
Forensic medicine
Electron microscopy
Physiology
Clinical laboratories
Intensive care laboratories
In vitro fertilization
Hemodialysis/hemofiltration
Veterinary medicine
Botany
Pharmacy
Pharmacies and hospital dispensaries
Measurement method
The total osmolality of aqueous solutions is determined by comparative measurements of the freezing points of pure water and solutions. While water has a freezing point of 0 °C, a solution with a salt concentration of 1 osmol/kg has a freezing point of -1.858 °C.
Advantages
Easy to use: Simple and convenient operation with step-by-step user guidance for all measuring functions.
Calibration: Convenient two- or three-point calibration routine.
Design: The robust design of the measuring devices makes handling and maintenance easy.
Versatile: Language selection English/German.
