Hettich Lab Technology Universal 32 R Refrigerated Centrifuge -20°C
The sedimentation of cells, bacteria, and yeasts—as well as DNA/RNA and protein precipitates—is a daily routine in basic research and in the R&D laboratories of pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. To meet these demands, a centrifuge must be truly universal. The UNIVERSAL 32 / 32 R stands for optimal running performance across both low and high-speed ranges, versatile and easily interchangeable accessories, and a compact footprint.
The operating and display elements of the UNIVERSAL 32 R are designed according to ergonomic principles.
Large, easy-to-read display: During a run, the current status of all parameters is displayed.
Speed (RPM): Input in increments of 10.
Relative Centrifugal Force (RCF): Input in increments of 10. RPM/RCF Toggle Function: Calculation and display of either speed or RCF via input of the rotor radius (r/mm).
Time (t): Input in minutes and seconds; max. 99 min, 59 sec.
Temperature: Input in increments of 1°C, ranging from -20°C to +40°C.
Acceleration/Deceleration Time: Braking and acceleration ramps 1–9, plus free run-down. Ramp 9 corresponds to the shortest possible braking and acceleration times.
Pulse Key: For very short centrifugation steps; the rotor spins at the pre-selected RPM or RCF for as long as the key is held down.
Three parameter combinations can be stored and recalled using program numbers 1 through 3. These settings are retained even after the centrifuge has been switched off. Technical Specifications:
