The turbidity sensor InPro8100 is used in biotechnological applications for turbidity measurements - usually for cell growth measurements in fermentation processes (cell density). A system is completed with a transmitter and a matching Trb8300 sensor housing or the InFit InTrac family.

1-fiber-PrinzipDie single-fiber sensors InPro8100 allow measurements over a wide linear range - even in places where absorption probes have long since reached their saturation limits. Use of the rearwards scattered light allows the construction of sensors in a mechanical way without openings, so that minimizes the formation of deposits, and the sensor can be cleaned thoroughly. Consequently, the sensors InPro8100 fully meet the high expectations placed on optical probes of hygiene and low maintenance. The trouble-free transfer from Labor-/Pilotbetrieb to its production levels to prevent charges that are ordinarily incurred for conversions to other measurement techniques.
