Millipore M Air T Air Sampler
The Millipore M Air T is a portable active air sampler designed for the microbiological monitoring of ambient air. The instrument operates according to the sieve impactor principle: a defined volume of air is drawn through a micro-perforated stainless-steel sieve and evenly directed onto the surface of an agar cassette containing a nutrient medium. This allows culturable microorganisms present in the air to be collected and subsequently evaluated through incubation.

Operating Principle
The M Air T is designed for active microbiological air monitoring. Ambient air is drawn through the micro-perforated sieve at a defined airflow rate. Culturable microorganisms contained in the air are impacted onto the surface of the agar cassette positioned beneath the sieve.
The even distribution of the airflow across the agar surface helps minimize colony overlap and facilitates subsequent manual colony counting. Specially designed pre-filled agar cassettes provide a consistent filling height and a constant distance between the sieve and agar surface, supporting reproducible sampling.
