CO₂ Incubators are frequently used in medical research and the pharmaceutical industry. However, they are also employed in other fields where cell growth must occur under absolutely sterile conditions, ensuring contamination-free cultivation environments.
The incoming CO₂ gas passes through a sterile filter and must be evenly distributed throughout the entire chamber, as the samples are usually positioned on shelves at different heights. The challenge lies in maintaining homogeneity within the interior so that all samples experience a uniform CO₂ concentration, along with constant temperature and humidity levels.
The BINDER C 150 is the ideal CO₂ incubator for routine cell cultivation applications. Contamination-free thanks to 180 °C hot-air sterilization, this CO₂ incubator ensures reliable, pH-stable conditions due to its drift-free FPI infrared measuring system. In addition, the BINDER C 150 is characterized by its high temperature precision with excellent dynamics and enables tissue culture storage without condensation risk – even at high humidity levels.
